What does Via Ferrata mean?

In translation, it would be "the iron road". Basically, there are mixed routes of hiking and climbing, equipped with metallic elements: iron steps, piton racks, culverts.

As experience, it means emotion, concentration, exceeding limits and adrenaline at maximum levels. And you will want more, because this gives you addiction.

The destination of the day will be Baia de Fier, Gorj county in the area known as Oltenia under the Mountain. Here, the Galbenul River made its way through the mountain sides of the Parang Mountains, creating spectacular gorges and digging numerous caves.

Of course, these places are heaven for the climbing enthusiasts and Via Ferrata amateurs.

If external factors do not allow the shift to take place, it may be rescheduled in agreement with the organizer.

Stan's Valley is a unique and perfect hike for beginners. We cannot get enough of the beauty and sensations we experience here every time.

You'll feel like an explorer and you will get a serving of adventure. We will cross the river by jumping from rock to rock, climb cliffs, climb vertical stairs, go a few meters above the water like acrobats. Dificultate ușoară.

Still thinking about it?

The venue will be at the Vidraru dam. From here we will go on our adventure. The route is circuit type and takes about 6 hours. This trail has exposed portions, so the activity is not recommended for those who have a fear of heights. This activity is for groups of minimum 5, maximum 10 people. Optional transport from Bucharest can be provided by the organizers.

If external factors do not allow a shift to take place, it may be rescheduled in agreement with the organizer.

Hiking in Stan's Valley

How about a trip back in time? You may find this hard to believe but at only 2 hours from the civilization we will find hamlets that are completely isolated, without electric power, no roads, the only points of access are 4 wooden ladders, vertically attached on the rock. Oh well, they really exist, and they are not a tourist trap.

We will have a beautiful hike in Domogled-Cerna Valley National Park. When you think that you are on top of the mountain and maybe no souls there, you'll find a village, where people live scattered on the mountain. Being here many times, I made friends with a local family, that will be happy to welcome us in their fairytale house.

While we'll enjoy a freshly cooked lunch, with the most bio and organic products from their farm, you'll listen to their amazing stories, how they live happily up there, how they survive without the internet. :-)
- pick up from your hotel;
- drive for 2.5-3 hours to Domogled Cerna Valley National Park;
- hike in Cerna Mountains for 2.5 hours up to Inelet hamlet, enjoying the views of the valley;
- lunch at a local family;
- hike back to the car on a different trail (2 hours);
- drive back - 2.5 hours.

This hike is moderate, but it can be done in a slow pace, having nice rest stops with great views and photos. Departure points in Arad or Timisoara.

Included:
- transportation;
- lunch with the locals;
- tour guide services.

We reserve the right to change the itinerary depending on the weather and for the safety of the participants.

Hiking to Remote Mountain Villages

Once you get to admire Fagaras peaks, you will come back again and again. In these mountains, there are 8 of the 13 peaks over 2500 meters in Romania and dozens of lakes with the clearest water.

For those who want to literally experience the feeling of being at height, we have the perfect hike. We'll reach 2507 meters and you'll be able to enjoy amazing places and landscapes on a medium-difficult route.

If external factors do not allow the trip to take place, it may be rescheduled in agreement with the organizer.

Activity for groups of minimum 5, maximum 10 people. Medium difficulty.
