Canyoning in Apuseni Mountains

Canyoning involves moving along watercourses sometimes horizontally (crossing small lakes, boulders and logs), and sometimes vertically (waterfalls, inclined planes), using a variety of techniques: walking, swimming, abseiling, etc.

The Osel Gorge, situated in Boga, near the Padis Plateau, amounts with its 7 falls a level difference of altitude of about 180m.

The 7 waterfalls have variable heights: the first is relatively low, about 3m, followed by 6 more waterfalls with heights between 12 and 17m.

The succession of vertical passages is fast, the horizontal development of the canyon totaling only 800m.

Distance from the cars to the canyon entrance: 700m - 20 minutes.

Difficulty: easy- medium.

Duration: 3.30 - 4:00h.

Pick-up: VIVO Mall parking lot, in front of Decathlon at 7:00.

Returning in the afternoon/ night.

Necessary personal equipment:
- clothing and footwear suitable for the season;
- two bathing suits (one will get wet in the cave or canyon);
- towel;
- water-resistant canyon footwear.
